they are a piece of p!ss to strip, clean and replace the gaskets (you can buy the re-con kits still). do you have any specific worries with them? so long as there isnt any noticable wear in the shafts and they feel nice and smooth and are complete you cant really go wrong. you will need them on your car to get them set up although you will need them setting up to be close to get the car to run in the first place. Id recommend cleanin them up yourself and save your pennies for a decent sesion on the rollers :thumbsup:

Motoscope in North Allerton are probably your closest bet mate :thumbsup:

 

LAD Motorsport in Morecambe will do them too but theyre over near me on the west coast, they specialise in MI16 conversions in pug 205s etc.

the main problem is when you look down the carb to the butterfly's , on one side they are both fully closed but don't open all the way and the other side don't close fully but open to horizontal. Never had anything to do with twin carbs before so haven't clue if they are nackered or not. Think it might be worth have a drive down to motoscope , :thumbsup:
