Delay in page downloading

I know its my pc not the site, but does anyone know what causes the delay in OSF pages downloading for me - at the bottom right of my screen there is always items remaining to download - (71 items remaining ) etc

 

this happens in work on the lan as well as at home, could this be a security setting on iternet explorer ?

Doesnt seem happen on other forums for me unless I navigate from OSF, the problem seems to stay with the window . .

I had tried that already, but deleted again now and no improvement ?

 

I had to guess even where the reply to post button was as the image hadnt loaded . .
