jed Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 ok has many of you know i have been having fun and games with my old victor have done all the head gasket for i thought that was why she was smoking but it has not solved the promblem and she is still doing it and does not have much power to her not that ahe had much in the frist place anyone got any idears? YEP.....Get a ford
pauline Posted December 19, 2008 Author Report Posted December 19, 2008 I have a ford to got the 100e have been told by some one who was behind my car last night that the smoke is a blue oil burning color
vibrating_Cake Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 mine looked blue, a little bit of smoke is normal for older cars when driving, due to wear n tear, if its not blinding the guy behind/ you are not really aware of it lookin thru ur rear view mirror, dont worry about it
pauline Posted December 19, 2008 Author Report Posted December 19, 2008 i can see it smoking out of the mirror it is bad
Posse Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 I reckon you may have a broken ring leon m8 are you talking about the car? It does sound like a bit of wear tho.
LEONMEX Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 I reckon you may have a broken ring leon m8 are you talking about the car? It does sound like a bit of wear tho. yes mate it sounds like abit of bore wear best to take the bottom end apart & inspect
pauline Posted December 19, 2008 Author Report Posted December 19, 2008 ok have done that on the old engine to ok need to get the other engine rebuilt i think anyone know were i can get it done?
LEONMEX Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 where abouts are you?? any decent engine builder should be able to tackle it for you??
LEONMEX Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 iam in windsor don't know any engine builders round that way but any should be able to help
FredTransit Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 There is some Wynne's stuff you put in the oil that will help with the smoking, not permanent but I have used it in a pinto and it does help. I think it seal the bore wear/rings. Sounds a bit bodgy but it's worth a try.
caprinerd Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 i use to have a magnum with big end bang and smoked like a cigar and i stuffed the engine full of stp and wynnes and held off long enough to out the motor
asj Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 I'd give up with the old girl and sell her to me but thats only because I'd like to buy her
