darklawmen Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Hi all I have found a house to buy and unfortunately my black mk2 Rs2000 has got to go. I bought it around a year ago from escort tec as a complete car and proceeded to strip it to restore. The shell was very good and had strut top plates welded on by mark at escort tec and a handful of small holes plated on the floor around the seat mountings. I have had the wing rails tidied up and a handfull of small plates but nothing major. It has then been on a spit and the whole underside was sanded down,2 coats of the excellent epoxy mastic has been applied, and then a thin coat of waxoyl underbody seal to finish resulting in a superb looking underside which will never rust again. The body has had any rust treated, painted with epoxy mastic to seal it and there is no rot anywhere, its a very solid shell. I had the axle, crossmember and suspension components sand blasted, zinc primed and then painted and i am in the process of having them fitted at the moment, the shell should be rolling tomorrow. The underside looks very good with this work completed and has full new polybushes. I will be selling the car in its current rolling state with alll the hard work done and just needs final prepping for a respray. The windows, doors bonnet, boot and interior are out and it comes with a good black interior,sunroof,5 speed box and 4 standard rs alloys. It has new chassis plates all stamped correctly and comes with a new decal set. Parts needed to complete will be Windscreen, exhaust and a few very minor items. I have no idea if the credit crunch has affected old school prices but any pointers as to what this car would be worth??? I will get photos tomorrow regards mark
HondaRS2000 Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 How much did you pay for it in the first place? and just add another £300 on top.
