pauldee
ok chaps picked up a 5speed gearbox tonight out of a jelly mould (cvh engined one) not that i m ready to fit it yet but what do i need as mounts ie do i need rs gearox lowering blocks , and what bottom mount are you all using, or is it a home made jobbie. bomber1
you can do it two ways. because my mk1 had already had a bad 5speed install capriclive who done all the welding unstitched a capri gearbox mounting plate and re stiched it under the new tunnel. so now im useing a capri x-member and it looks like a factory mount. or you cut your mounts off and place them furter back using the escort gearbox x-member.
