Evening

i fitted my 1600xflow in again today,

my last 1100 xflow only had one pipe going from the distributor to the carb, my new engine has 2, where do they both have to go please?

i have put one to the carb as before but not sure on the second one.

I dont recognise that distributer but if you want to be on the safe side go to your local tropical fish shop and buy a t-piece and join them together and then attach it to the inlet manifold.

Hope this helps

nah it was from a sweedish mk2, which had some emission devise bolted on under the inlet, im guessing it went to something onn there, ill just connect them together and see how it goes.

thanks

Its not vacuum retard is it? I cant think why it would be or what the benefit would be but just a thought? If it is then joining them together wont work properly

You will need to block one of them off, i'm not sure which one as i suspect that one will advance the timing one will retard it.

With the cap off have a look which way the base plate moves when you pull the linage as if a vacuum was applied.

Or try blanking one off and see how the car drives then do the same with the other one use which one feels best ?
