Just joined the Forum so don't know anybody yet.

Who actually takes part in historic rallies?

I came over to UK in 2000 for the first Rally of the Tests which was run in the same fashion as the RAC rally before it took to the forests.

I was in my Healey 100 rathere than a Ford.

Anyway there are lots of good value events here in France and I am looking forward to using the Escort TC soon.

First out will be the Rallye Neige et Glace in the Alpes.

That's good to hear. You could do worse than to consider some events in europe.

I believe that value for money it's worth coming to France. The only extra is crossing the channel.

Contact me if you want to know some more.

Curtis, the Berwick Classic in the very north of England (or very south of Scotland depending in your viewpoint) runs a test based historic rally which runs to the same kind of regs as the Rally of the Tests rather than as a historic stage rally.

Very popular with people coming over from Scandinavia and France etc. to do it.

Thanks doubleg. I can't find much on the web concerning the rally.

Would like to look at the regs and the cost ,of course

The Berwick Motor Club site seems to have been off line for a while now.

I have the regs and final instructions etc. the 2006 event which I can e-mail to you if you want them (except the results as I didnt have a very good day on that one).

2007 regs aren't out for it yet. Althought I should have regs somewhere for the Johnston Trophy which is also run by Berwick motor club and has tests running during the day and is then followed by a more historic type road rally in the evening/night. It is running on Jan 6th though so a bit short notice and I am sure it has a full entry.

I've e-mailed them off to you now.

I'll have a word with my navigator, and see if I can get some of the test diagrams of her for it for you. As I was wanting to have a look at some of them again myself anyway.
