paul 326 Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 not the most tunable of engines i know, but i may build one for a oval racer. Any tips on how to get a bit more out of them, carb swap, conversions etc, head skims? any help appreciated cheers
Fiesta Steve Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 All the usual tuning methods apply, Increase the air flow into the engine with bigger carbs and by opening up the ports. Raise the compression ratio, high lift cam, decent exhaust manifold etc..
paul 326 Posted February 3, 2009 Author Report Posted February 3, 2009 do you know how you go about ligthing the flywheel on the models with crank trigger ignition as they don;t pick up off of the ring gear? I've heard they pick up off of a plate riveted to the flywheel? if so is it even possible to lighten these flywheels?
Fiesta Steve Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 No reason why you can't lighten the flywheel as long as the trigger wheel is left alone
