Zetec Alternator Bracket Kit

Seen these for sale in both RetroFord and Raceline. Are they required and for what reason? Are they in they way in thier standard position??

Depends what the zetecs going in to. If its not in the way don't move it and save the money to spend on another part of the conversion. I did'nt get any mounts with my engine so I just made a bracket. The zetec tends to loosen it's alternator mountings fairly quickly but my homemade bracket seems the best so far.
