Export cars have stiffer body?

I have read that export models of Escorts, Cortinas... have had stiffer body from factory.

Does this include all export models to what ever country?

Im just curious..?

the mk1 cortinas had supports welded on the inner wing-bulkhead that was it as far as im aware

I have allso found this text in tommy sandhams Cortina data book (sorry cant put picture) It says Standard fitting in australian cars, but i believe that i have same cross-member to my Cortina:
