Anyone know how much oil i should use? Think the dipstick is now giving false readings?

My xe is smoking bad and wanna eliminate a few sypmtoms before i take the head off again!!

yer will do mate, he's always been good over the phone, jus aint had time, chucked 3.5litres in there to run it up after puttin head back on and now i've got noisey lifters!! even tho i used old skool 20-50, whats the wynn stuff like for sorting that?

stu just drive it at low revs in 3rd gear the lifters will shut up once its under load

Yer cheers mate, gonna run it for a couple of hundred miles on this stuff then try semi synthetic, smokes better now tho! i'll bring it over when i get a chance. Got to adjust rear shock first!
