i was just thinking, the readers rides section is a bit...sparse, i know this is because the main features are the main features...

 

but, what would be wrong with running regular competitions/trackday events JUST for readers rides, with a set of 5-10 cars being compared at a time.

 

if it was a track day it would have to be a reader-funded day or something of the sort, with a section for each persons car with specs etc on it.

 

i remember reading a nice article with 4parjons car and a few others of this site having a blast around bruntingthorpe was it?

with specs like 0-60times power outputs, engines and some nice professional photos of their cars in the magazine.

 

that was a really good read for me, and if readers were to be included in a feature like this (bi-monthly or something?) would put a helluva lot more pride in "readers rides" than a single pic and a little bit of text in the mag somewhere .

 

 

only reason i never apply for "readers rides" is because i'd rather have a full feature or no feature, readers rides is just a small... "yep ive been in a magazine" but a feature including you're car would do a lot more for you're ego!

 

also comments from the writers are nice to hear on your car etc

 

hmm... im ranting ill get back to my beans on toast!
