Im thinking of relocating my front indicators on my mk3 Capri

Does anyone know if there are any restrictions on how low they can go? Im thinking of having them below the standard front bumper, not by too far be someone said that it may fail an MOT if they are below a certain height????

The indicators will fit snugly into the vent holes in the front panel. The outermost ones. Rather than welding up your front bumper cant you just swap the mounting brackets and use another rear one?

tis a good idea m8

but mine did have smaller indicators in anyway so Im not using the capri ones at all. Also my front bumber already has the brackets welded on so as to get rid if the bolts for the overiders.

I'll get the holes plated over, and see what indicators suite the grills, if I get smoked ones they will blend in.

aha, just had a call from a m8 of mine who is now an MOT tester

as far as he knows there is no limit as to where they go. For kit cars its down to an sva test but for standard cars he's never come across anything to suggest that a car can fail on indicators being too low

Hi There

Here is the relevant page from the MOT testers manual about indicators.

No mention of height restrictions at all, so looks like you are ok!!
