james1700 Posted May 3, 2009 Report Posted May 3, 2009 having sold my cossie i began searching for another daily driver. i wanted something cool, not desperatly quick but fun to drive and fun to work on. so today took it for a little drive see how it drives and its nice to say its set up by eye. i will 4 wheel align it on tuesday at work but its nice for now. it also needs to come down a touch on the front. today i put my suede steering wheel on and a quiafe gearknob and washed the engine bay down getting rid of 30 years of grime and the brake fluid i threw around changing the master cylinder i have also already fitted a facet pump under the boot floor and a filter king reg under the bonnet ready for the twin 40's i have arriving on tuesday. i also have a new pair of wings arriving on tuesday and then it will have a full respray getting rid of all the dents and scratches. im not after a minter show stopping escort to wrap up warm in my garage, no this is my daily driver and will get used rain or shine (well when im not on the my motorbike).

james1700 Posted May 30, 2009 Author Report Posted May 30, 2009 well after 3 weeks off the road the old girl is ready for santa pod in the morning its had 2 new wings, a full respray, its lost the mouldings and been lowered an extra inch. i have also fitted a ghia dash pod, a set of twin 40's, and some 3/4 length black door cards. im really chuffed with the result, i think it looks awesome, its now such a laugh to drive too.

james1700 Posted June 20, 2009 Author Report Posted June 20, 2009 been out playing again today, i have been pissed off with the swirl marks from when i polished the car so went at it good and proper with the hand glaze took a while but its now a glass like finish and looks stunning. i have also fitted rear seat belts today taken from my mates mk4 escort rs we are breaking these and the electric fan have both been kindly donated, lol i also spent about 3 hours sanding back the laquer from the rims of my superlites as they were all quite badly corroded and the laquer was going milky so now they are all polished up and set the old girl off nicely oh and its now sporting its osf sticker since cf anyway sorry for the crap phone pics they dont really do the paint justice i will try and get some better pics up soon before after
