When I got back and pulled on the drive oil was pissin out the rear axle. Had a look yesterday and found 2 tears where this brackets fitted to it. How can I fix this? Cheers Azz

azz-bo Posted May 10, 2009 Author Report Posted May 10, 2009 Did you weld the sadles on??? Or are they factory mate ?? Im not sure what saddles are? I just brought the car n most the work was done, obviously not to a very good standard, I've had nufin but problems with this bloody axle
over_head_cam Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 The spring saddles are the bits that weld to the axle and sit on top of the spring. TBH they look a bit mangled. beefing them up would be a good move. I've use square washers from the builder centre before, just the right size and they work a treat
frenchy Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 That's a good idea ohc I would take axle out and give it a good going over tbh
