Ok guys, long story short to cover an old subject.

Im buildig a 1700xflow with 1300 +90 pistons, lighteneed and balanced bottom end, stage 2 head, 244 cam adn all that junk....and i need some kind of induction.

Due to unfortunate circumstances I have been trhough two sets of dellorto twin 40s and both met unfortunate ends (dont ask  )

Now....

Do I try and get another set of 40s and fanny around getting them rebuilt and all the necessary shit...

OR

Do I ring up Bogg brothers who are on my door step and go down the bike carbs route?

I know the bike carbs arent 'old skool', dont give the twin carb sound and dont look as good but im thinking practicallity here and saving myself some cash and time if they ever go wrong as i can nip over there to get em tuned up no problem.

PLEASE HELP AND VOTE WHICH YOU WOULD DO!

the thing is...i love 40s and ideally thats what i want...BUT...I am sick tod eath of dealing with 30 year old carbs that will need a rebuild which is extra money and extra time...or i go to bogg brothers and get their bike carb kit for £585 which is ready to bolt on.

its a tough choice  ...unless anyone has a pair of GOOD WORKING weber 40s for sale with linkage and trumpets for sale?

Is buying new Webers out of the question?

I recently stepped up and replaced a set of used "ebay" Webers for a brand new pair, and oh what a difference it made.

Cheers,

I would either go for bike carbs more reliable or stuck to a twin webber if you want reliability and decent fuel economy.

With fuel the price it is i'd go for fuel, you can have more time in your car for the same money :D
