Im new to the site, and wondered if any of you would fancy meeting up for a few photos, and then a nice cold pint at a pub close-by. Would like to meet some new faces.

Was thinking Clee Hill quarry, or hills. However any loaction would be considered presuming everyone would be happy.

Let me know of a weekend that your all free.

Thanks

hi mike,

good to see there is someone local with the same intrest,as you can see by the response to your post we are a bit thin on the ground in this area.

I live just outside worcester and own 2 fords, one is an escort van with a 1.8 zetec fitted and the other is a 1978 rs x packed 3ltr capri.

also have a love for vw and own a 1978 type 2 crew cab which is just ready for paint after me spending the last 12mths welding it back together.

have owned many fords in the past mostly capris though and i think this is must be my 12th.

would be good to meet up at some stage, shame there isnt more osf in the area.

My mrs' mate has a mk1 ghia in the browny colour. Then one of his mates, whos on here has 3 mk1's but there is one main one that he drives thats red with fogs on it. He lives in Tenbury Wells, or works in tenbury. One or the other.

Well bit more info on my history, and my car.

Bought it pretty much as it is. Added a K&N top filter and bought some new speakers for it this morning.

I'm looking for a 2ltr zetec for it. As i know my fair share about them.

When i was 16, bought a metro to start and changed the head gasket then sold it on.

Then bought a MK1 XR2 in sunburst red, thats still sat in my parents garage slowly being retored.

For my first driveable car, when i passed my test was a mk5 zetec 1.25.

That then got stolen, and i bought a mk5 zetec S 1.6, and that had a few engine mods.

I sold that last weekend, but bought my MK1 2 months ago with 54k on the clock, and no rust, so im over the moon.

I live with my girlfriend in arley, just outside of bewdley, and i thought worcester would be close enough for everyone.

Did you put the zetec in your van on your own? Are you familiar with transplants?

I have a few things on order to help me through it like xr2 5 speed gear linkage, xr driveshafts, and the conversion kit from the fiesta-centre. They only do the conversion kit for the CVH but the engine mount with notches in, is what i need the most.

Thanks

Mike

(Sorry for the essay)

Paul, do you know any other osf close to you as your not a million miles away and i'm sure Mike wouldnt mind travelling to a half way point to start a regular meet.

Happy to travel!

And i dont mind where we go, aslong as others are willing to travel the same distance-ish.

Could always rotate where we go, so the ones who travel, would perhaps have meets more local to them.

Ideally I would like to meet a few of you before CFS, so that im not an alien when i turn up to the convoy,

Ah thats sounds great mate, proper old skool convoy needs doing then

Kidderminster is approximately 35mins from brum, according to the multimap, but thats from centre to centre, so depending on what side of birmingham you live, it'd be more or less.

Steve, thats the thing about having a classic ford. You dont need to go fast to look good. I dont like hurrying to a show, because people get left behind, and when i do convoys i go at moderate speeds, so that everyone stays together.

When is everyone free? I dont want to organise one when no one turns up because they are not free.

BOTH- Text me(07932 749559) and il text you back with possible locations.

Mike, i work nights mon to thur,so i'm off friday nights or weekends.

A friday night would be good for me or even saturdays, sundays i like to keep for the family or going to shows.

i'm easy going on meet location, the old girls parked up all week so any excuse for a drive is good to me, i think a pub somewhere would be ideal.

I'm on holiday this week and next so how about one night next week just to introduce ourselves.

I have made a fund for my car and spends for the show this morning, it contains £100 already for some wheels that im buying of a chap on here.

I need an xr2 mk1 dash for my dad, and a set of spax coilies. cuz i want to slammmm it on its arse

I will be posting up the post code, in a different thread, for the services that we will meet at prior to ford show, as we can all meet in one place then leave as a group.
