thinking of selling up

due to financial circumstances, I got to make the decision on wether to keep or sell the escort.

 

To cut a long story short, I live with my doris and pay a tiny amount of rent to her, its her house/mortgage etc. So I got a lot of spare cash to blow each week. But the time has come where we gotta buy out her ex, and get a new mortgage and all bills spilit 50/50. At the minute, I am running my pickup truck, my escort, and 2 motorbikes. I'm struggling to do all this at the moment, and I am gonna have a hell of a lot less cash soon. I'm 100% commited to getting the house, been here a few years,I like it here, love my doris, and I'm 34, so its time to get serious and sort my future.

 

So I got a big decision to make. I paid £2500 for the car, and its mint with only 28k on the clock, and I have spent a few hundred on it too. I'd like to get near £3000 for it, and get some of my credit cards paid. But I dont want to be away from an OSF, I love the whole scene, and the friends I've made and this site. Which makes me think if I did get £3k, I could pay £2k off my cards, ease my finances, and spend £1000 on a capri or mk4/5 cortina.

 

Off to the garage now, to have a beer and clear up, and think think think think think.

sorry to hear that m8 but why do you have to leave the

scene if you sell up? you dont have to own an osf to be on here!

like you said you can allways get a cheaper motor there are loads

about these days

if you are dead set on the house then go for it as you can always get another car when things have eased and as you said you could always get a cheaper capri ect to keep your toes wet

mine is on the road for just short of £1k insured, your insurance should be a little cheaper? so easily manage that

thats true, I got a lots of mates I have met through osf, and even more through the capri scene, stayed mate with all the capri lads when I sold my laser and bought a couple of toyotas

Yeah, how about selling a bike. If you dont need you pickup ( i dont know if its for work or not) sell that. Or maybe selling the OSf and the pickup and buying an OSF pickup? Theres a few knocking about still.

 

You can stay in OSF anyway. Ive got a S1 RS Turbo and a Nissan S13 but i still come on here and no-one has given me abuse (yet) and i have full intentions of getting another OSF at some point anyway. Maybe you can get another one one day if the money situation eases.

one of the bikes is going up for sale aswell, only ended up with 2, cos I bought one and dont like it, so bought another to replace it.

 

The truck is worth only a few hundred, but if I could find a good cortina p100 I would sell the truck and the escort to buy it
