Takeshi Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Just a question for some of you boffins to think about... My mate has a Toyota Glanza (1.3 turbo), he was having a burn up last night, revving the tits off it when it suddenly got a misfire. On the drive back home it started chucking out enough smoke to fill up the street, its also blowing oil out of a pipe all over the engine which appears to be coming from the sump. It only smokes alot when left to tickover, but the misfire is constant, sounds like its running on 3 cylinders. Is it more than likely he's blown a piston/rings? We aint done a compression test yet. Thats what you get for not letting the car warm up Ta
Takeshi Posted May 20, 2009 Author Report Posted May 20, 2009 Well done a compression test and theres zilch on cyl. 3. Holed piston by the looks of it
