v8cortina Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Ready to go to work this morning 5:45am and noticed the Signum had a flat tyre on the front. Put the space saver on and had to wait until 8:30am before any garages opened. The fault lay with the alloy wheel, it had a crack on the inside rim. I then went over to Vauxhall to see if this could be done under warranty. Looking promising as no other damage apart from the crack. Anyway, they do not stock 19" alloys so they are sorting this out for me in the week cross fingers. Went back home and decided to take the Escort. Nothing unusual but I work 165 miles away from home. It was a lovely sunny day so went for it. The car drove all the way without any mishaps, well pleased Only problem is that I had a bit of a headache when I got to work. It is not that quiet Drew plenty of attention in work too It will have covered 500 miles by Friday so hope all goes well so it can get trailered up to York for OSFDC Round 4 this weekend.
stevepeanut Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 I thought I had it bad driving 95 miles to work, dont do it anymore. But 165, that must take some doing. Is that 165 there, a days work and 165 home?
v8cortina Posted June 29, 2009 Author Report Posted June 29, 2009 I do the trip early Monday morning then back home Friday afternoon. Do 25 miles round trip everyday during the week. Been doing this now for 7 years At least I will do it in style this week
