Problems with automatic gearbox B&W35

Hi

I am driving my Ford Anglia (in sweden)with Rover V8 and B & W-35. But my gearbox have collapsed 3ggr on 20000mile. Why I do not know. Which Automatic transmission driving you in england with the Rover V8?

 

I have to switch to something else but I do not know what to have

 

I hope somebody can give me a tips

hiya, nice car by the way, if you intend on keeping the car auto then you have 2 options,the bigger brother to what you have already fitted, the bw 65, or better still and fitted as standard to the last in the line rover sd1's the gm 180 th , this is a chevrolet built box and far better than the borg warner boxes in my opinion,and last but not least if you wanted to go manual people tend to go down the lt77 or tremec route!! hope this helps, tony

One of my stable of cars is actually a 54 Ford Pop , i run a 4.6 Rover (RPI stage 3) and i have a BW 66 autobox which i had rebuilt earlier this year after a few runs at Bovingdon detonated the box , cost me 600 pounds for a total rebuid including new kickdown cable apparently a special order ?? hope this helps.........Mark
