Hi Guys,

 

My name is Shane from York. Always liked the Mk1's so think it's about time I bought one. A few friends are into them big time. We recently got back from a lads trip to the Nurburgring in 2 mk1 mexico's. It was an absolute scream, or was that just my mate in the back on our 3 up Ring session - IE - 3 BLOKES IN A MEX DRIVING "ROUND" THE NURBURG'RING'!!! Not into it as some may take it to be You know you are all jealous

 

The purists will hate this, but I am not bothered what sort it is as long as it has the right bits on it!!

 

Anyways, let the hunt commence.

Went all the way to Birmingham last night from York to see a solid, no rust/rot 2.0 Pinto'd Mex rep, well that is how it was advertised. Got there to find, aye no rust/rot, but that is only because it had been replaced with doggie & fibreglass.

 

Oh & the fantastic engine wanted to be a 1500cc, it would not run on 4 & smoked like a good one

 

Aah well, the hunt goes on.

That is my mateys Mex. I am from Wigginton. His brother is looking after it, or I may have had it, so if you see different people driving, don't worry. Will of been seen up Acomb way seeing another Mk1 freak, (yellow with blue Mex stripes bigwing)

 

It is this orange one that got a good seeing to AROUND the NurburgRING & has got me on a mission to find a toy!!

 

Got put back together after being in boxes for a few years, literally 3 weeks before the trip. The old girl still has it!!

i know of a couple of toys in york for sale, nice mk2 tina estate cheap wanting little work with 16 x flow (pics on this site under for sale section )or a mk1 capri, same bloke has them both , or good luck on ya mission to find a mex, we,ll av to have a catch up one time, ill have my mk2 on the road soon, (soon as i get it tested) av you seen the mk1 escort on ebay for sale in york,
