good idea or not?

I was out the other day when I was offered a Mk 2 consul lowline with a 3-litre V6 in it for my 100e. I`ve been to see the consul and it needs some welding and the engine conversion finishing off. what i`m wondering is, is it worth doing the trade since my 100e is on the road and the consul isn`t? I know my 100e isn`t worth a great amount as standard (which it is) but I don`t want to do a trade and then find out I`ll be wasting my time

How bad it the Consul? They are gorgeous cars, but a bad one will be heartache. I, personally, would be going back and taking a lot of pics, so you can mull it over and get a few opinions.

What are you like at spannering/bodywork if thats what it needs?
