vibrating_Cake Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 right... ive got a gen turbo tail (the squidgy one) its got a few scratches in it, so i wanna fill these with some soft filler like plastic bumper repair paste.... would this be possible and then, i want to paint it white! just any white, gloss white preferably, anyone know what paint you use to paint something so flexible?
turbo-mike Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 I expect there is some special paint out there that will flex with the rubber but I bet it is expensive, and would devalue a proper tt spoiler, best bet is to sell on your genny one and get a cheep re pro one then spray that up with rattle cans, I know that's what I would do. mike
evil knievel Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Or while the car isn't in paint sell your genuine one and get a ducktail welded on
X-pack-Glyn Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 Dont paint a genuine turbo tail please.... thats nearly as bad as cutting a hole in the genuine mk2 wooden facia dash to fit a sterio!
Copey Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 agree with the above, DON'T paint a gen turbo tail!!! sell it on and get a fiberglass one to paint
vibrating_Cake Posted October 18, 2009 Author Report Posted October 18, 2009 fine---- who wants to swap a tatty ish gen turbo tail for a fibreglass one... streight swap lol
