Hope the info helps. I really wanna get it but i dont want to not know how to fit it when i recieve it There is 6 wires altogether hope this helps Hopefully someone knows how to wire it in
Tom Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 the green wire will be the one to yhe coil. not sure on the other 2 tho
Guest M.Bird DOHC Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Red may be positive but without taking it apart and having a look who know's, there should also be a wire for the light inside and an earth! like tom says one of the wires will be the pick up wire from the coil If you get really stuck PM me and im sure we can sort something out
72mk1escort Posted December 29, 2006 Author Report Posted December 29, 2006 Right change of plan i have seen a cheaper one on ebay that looks a bit more simple to fit its made by a company called tim and it only has 3 wires by the looks of it green, red and white. So it looks like a better idea to me and also its only £1 with no reserve Pictures Below: So if someone knows how to wire this in it would be a great help. Cheers
72mk1escort Posted December 29, 2006 Author Report Posted December 29, 2006 Just emailed the seller this is what they said "hi there is 4 wires red, black, white, green. i have no fitting instructions but im sure theres some info on the net somewhere. i assume reds positive, blacks negative, and one of the others for the coil and one for dial illumination but i cant remember. thanks for the interest." Hope this helps
