MM77 Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Would something like this support the rear of an escort chassis (ie no axle/diff/wheels/boot) at its maximum height for 6mths. The front of the car will will be on ramps. It says 500kg and I cant see an escort chassis weighing more than 300 at the rear. I'm prepared to buy 2 of them if need be. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HYDRAULIC-LIFT-RAMP-TABLE-MOTORBIKE-TRACTOR-ECT_W0QQitemZ280436771804QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Lifting_Moving_Equipment?hash=item414b558bdc Or this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sealey-Tools-Hydr ... 439a282c7d
andy a Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 I wouldnt rely on anything that depends on a seal to hold it up in the air, bet getting some scaffold bars and pudlocks, wont cost you anywhere near that kind of money either

w p e Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 being an ex lift engineer i would say ask the seller if the item as the safety arm that locks it when fully extended. health and safety says it should have but it also states with any hydraulic jack.lift that axle stands or propping stumps should be used for long periods. hope this helps
