chunkys mk1 Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 i am going to buy some trumpets for my mk1 escort but because the engine is out at the moment i can't remember how much room i had i am running a crossflow on twin 40s the trumpets come in ether 16,26,39mm any ideas
petrolhead Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 The theory is that the longer trumpets are better for road use as they shift the peak power further down the rev range. So the longer you can fit in the space you have the better.
H.P.E harry Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 That theory is correct, is used to have 39mm on my 45's but one of them used to knock on my brake master cylinder
