fostersice Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Hi guys I'm looking for some help Once my fuel lines are run it will be time to start on the brakes I am running a bias box and a hydraulic handbrake How do I run the line for the rear brakes and handbrake? Been told I run a line from the master to the res and the other hole line to the handbrake then to the rear brakes??? Is this right any pictures please
Sheepy Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 i will take a picture at work monday, we have a mk1 in at the moment with hydraulic h.brake set up. but i am sure it is like you said!
PIG Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 go from fluid pot to pedal box, from pedal box to handbrake(the rear of the slave on the handbrake master)then from the front outlet on handbrake to the rear brakes.you can go either way on to the axle then either a t piece on the inside of the car or a t piece on the axle.use braided lines to the calipers on the rear tho as i think your using sliding rear calipers and solid copper lines will fracture m8
fostersice Posted January 24, 2010 Author Report Posted January 24, 2010 thanks paul hope you have been good? long time no hear from....
Sheepy Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 well, as promised, i took some pictures for you today. as you can see, the main brake hose comes in (through bias valve, if your running one) to the handbrake cylinder, then on to the rear brakes! hope this was of some help, sorry if the picture quality is not so good, but its an all black interior, and not so bright, but it is the only one out of the escorts in our workshop with the hydraulic set up!!
