w p e Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 kevs eckie went like that. what causes it wayne? good question del. both the cars i painted were in a dry invirement {OUR WORK SHOP} and they blisterd a few months later. funny thing on the white one i can move the blisters and pop them as if its trapped air like in plastic stickers. kevs as done the same as you said. a mates done a black mk1 that blisterd and he's a pro painter. the paint suppliers dont no the answer oh and the painters down by us have had a few do the same. mines in celly so we'll see if its damp that cause'es it
escortmatt Posted February 9, 2010 Author Report Posted February 9, 2010 i dont want to get repainted if it does it again

mr zefect Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 very strange some times it can happen if the car has been primed and not painted soon after and moisture can get in to the primer even 2k and hs+ products. if you drive about your car in primer in the rain ect then get your car painted latter on it can be fine for a while then it can micro blister or bubble the moisture in the primer is trying to get out it can be caused by cheap paint. for years now we dry flat cars not wet flat trying to keep all moisture at a minimum even the water we use for scotching is a water born spirit wipe. I painted mine 11 years ago and spent years in a damp garage and it was in my mates ally for over a year with a cover on it with no probs.
