I like doinking with cars and over the years have put together an eclictic bunch. I'm not loyal to any specific brand obviously. Of these shown below I only have the Porsche 914 and the 1968 Cortina around.

1952 Dodge truck. I drove it for years with a flat six and 6V electrics until an old man ran a light and T boned me. I put the '52 body on a 1982 3/4 ton frame. Nice to have heat and a little power.

My 914, hence my screen name. My friend bought it new in 1974 from a girl he dated that worked for Porsche NA. It's newver seen snow, been in the rain five times that he recalls and has 57,000 miles now.

1979 Chevy Malibu, Auto-X track car.

Fiat X-1/9 Auto-X and track car. Port & Polished head, big cam, liberated exhaust and it weighs nothing. Fun stuff.

My wife doesn't even like riding with me in a car on the street, she won't get near a track with me driving. I built this Samurai thinking she would be more involved because you go slower. She went once..... :?

A magazone called Grassroots Motorsports hosts an event every year: bring a car to compete in 1/4 mile drags, Autocross and Concours. You can only spend $2010, show all receipts. (next year you get $2011)

I put this Corvair wagon on a Monte Carlo frame with a HO305 Monty engine and a T5 tranny.

This is what I built for the $2004 Challenge. A 1981 Monte Carlo frame with a 350 Chevy engine midships. Then I put the driver up front and dropped a 1966 VW Bus body over it.

I got a trophy for Best Visual Package, got the Peole's Choice Award and got 2nd place for Most Spectacular Failure. The guy that won deserved it. He had a VW Rabbit with a VR6 motor in it. You're supposed to go 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, hit the nitrous.

He went; 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, hit the nitrous.

You win!
