  1. Rats, I was looking for a vertical take off jet.
  2. Has he posted anything in four weeks? If he was in a terrible auto accident, had major surgery or was picked up by the Mother Ship, then he gets a pass. If he has been here and is ignoring you, then he deserves a few weekends in a Turkish prison.
  3. Thank you Toby but I could chrome plate it cheaper. I'll look around here, maybe talk to a Materials Engineer at work. Dan
  4. Thanks guys, but remember I come from a land barren of 'Tinas. I pulled the old one out and measured it, also did a hardness test. It's Rc 58 - 60. Drill bits are that hard! I'm a machinist but don't have the heat treating ability to make one that hard. If anyone has a dead box around and wants to send me this washer, I'll pay shipping +. Or if you know where I can buy a new replacement please, please hook me up with a link. Dead in the water until then. Dan
  5. I popped the Burman steering box cover on my 1968 Mk II, no chips, burrs or anything wayward except for the washer that slides up and down with gear movement, it's split in half. This washer is .850 outside diameter, .370 inside and .210 thick. It appears to be a hardened steel. There aren't many Mk II Cortinas in scrap yards here, where can I find a new replacement? Dan
  6. I raced a Triumph Spitfire with a welded diff. Meh. On the road in big sweepers it's OK, pushing the car around the garage just sucks. You're always fighting one wheel or the other. I can imagine around town just turning a corner could be an adventure. Coming off a light with enthusiasm is a hoot! Coming off a light and turning? The rear tries to make yo go straight anyway. Dan
  7. I don't go with her, but my wife is good at shopping. She'll find a leather jacket she likes for $250 and then put it back. Wait, you like it, it's a fair price, just buy it. No. She waits. It hangs around too long, they put it in the discount rack. Then she waits for a 10% off sale and walks in with a coupon from the paper and gets a $250 leather jacket for $60. See? She asks..... I don't get it. Her reply is "If it's gone, then it wasn't meant to be". Cool, you just saved $190, I'm buying car parts! X-pack-Glyn, just smile and nod. Sex by yourself isn't even half as much fun. Dan
  8. This is a strange ad. Anyone up for a trip? http://flint.craigslist.org/lbg/1691810737.html
  9. Cool car OverHead, do you have more photos? Could you shoot me some specs on the suspension and stuff? I like it!!
  10. I pick up this one Saturday for $75. I need the rear shocks to get mine lower and since I removed the floorboards on mine, I have no shifter. This one does. I think I can sell off $75 worth of junk and break even. The more I think about it, the more I think these would make fine Cafe bikes, very low center of gravity. http://hartford.craigslist.org/mcy/1677028630.html Dan
  11. My condolences to your antennae, it seems to have some kind of erectile disfunction. The rest of the car is great! Dan
  12. Anti-Roll bar? I would like to upgrade my stock one and install poly or delrin bushings, can you recommend a supplier? Thanks, Dan
  13. You can buy those tips, I think they're called gunfighter or gatlin gun, something gun related. I can see those peeking out the back of a 'Tina.
  14. 30 year old Honda Goldwing with 21,000 miles on it. Runs well, good tires, new battery. It's got all the fairing, bags, windshield, chrome and bolt on crap a human could ever ask for. It's coming off! I want to make a GW Cafe. This is what $900. or 593 GBPs will bring home: This is what I want to end up with:
  15. Can you back track using that Ford part number? Dan
