help please with whining diff

put a quaife atb and new bearings in still whining ,changed the gearbox today still whining ,would this be down to the crown wheel and pinion?can someone help its doin my head in

no i didnt set the preload and backlash correct good job i didnt go far with it like that

how did you set it up mine is the same think its just a little tight,whines between 40 and 60.

for the preload tighented flange nut and checked with torque wrench 20lb pressure to make it turn and backlash took most of the play out cwp,dont know if this is right but seems to have worked o.k

20lb to make what turn? i hope you dont mean 20lb to make the diff turn as this should turn by hand with the slightest of risistance and smooth
