are you sure you mean avatar? as in the small pic under your name, you have to make up your photo you want to use then upload

it to photobucket, then you have to re-size it to fit on this site (there is a size limit) if you mean the bigger pic (sig pic) at the bottom of your posts then

go on the photoshop + sig pics room on here + one of the clever people will help you out any changes are then made in your profile.
