Jiffer Posted August 28, 2010 Report Posted August 28, 2010 I am thinking about taking the twin 40s of my mk1 cortina which is running poorly and swapping them with the twin 40s on my mk2 (mildly tuned 1600xflow).the ones on my mk2 are all set up for that car and run very sweetly. I am having a final attempt at trying to figure out why the mk1 is running so bad (even after a session on the rolling road) is this a waste of time or if it still runs badly does this tell me its not a fueling problem. I am starting to learn twin carbs are fickle things.
Nicks53 Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 I know this is probably going to sound daft but have you ever had a look at the Haynes manual for Weber carbs? It covers most of the carbs I've seen people using here and shows you how to set-up & service your own, it might be worth a look?
Big_man Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Mate if the mk2's running sweet I'd leave it alone and concentrate on the mk1. Start simple thats what I always do
