Its strange how things work out. BIG THANKS to Tom for helping me with my diff.

We were both horrified to see all the crownwheel bolts had worked loose. The worst was 6mm out :shock: and I think it would have led to imminent failure withing a few miles of driving, see below....

Then while torquing them back up one of them sheared off due to a fracture. Another BIG THANKS to JamesMk1 who came to the rescue, dismantled his whole diff there and then from his project car just to give me that one vital bolt.

Cheers wayne, I fill them full of vaseline first to keep my hands super soft.

 

We chucked the slipper in the freezer for an hour and heated up the bearings in a frying pan on my fishing stove, They pretty much fell on!! It was great :lol:
