yalnif09 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Hi All, Right not sure if my 85' Classic fiesta is classed as old skool yet so putting in here for now. This is my recent purchase. Rust wise, needs a patch size of a 5p in the boot and a bit on the top of the o/s sill (see pic). other than that rust protection stuff in post for the few bits of surface rust. Don't mind having a go at most of it but now thinking might be easier to replace the door??? Right so plans ASAP. Sort the body work Fit Immobiliser Fit 12v socket 2011 1300 x-flow on twin 40's and lairy cam lowered on XR2 suspension (I have my reasons) Banded steels or wide 13" steels Straight through zorst?? Tidy the interior. I'll add if I think of more Chris
.pete. Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 I like it a lot. I had one for a daily driver until only a couple of months ago and it was great.
D4N Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Looks nice and love the colour But not Oldskool
Synergy Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 No not oldskool but a lovely motor none the less I don't know why but the basic spec MK2 Fezzas appeal more to me now than the XR2s and 1400 Sports
killerkerry89 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 how is this not old skool? it was made in '85 and will still look like a car if you take the bumpers off! haters maaaan.... its deffo oldskool!! cool car dude, just dont 'max power' it!
squadge78 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 very debatable, not strictly oldskool but older than the youngest capri.
yalnif09 Posted September 17, 2010 Author Report Posted September 17, 2010 Oh well was worth a try . Just can't wait to get it dents/ scraps sorted and fresh lick of paint. I too really like the colour, think that was part of the appeal. Ceramic Blue. As for the Max power effect, of the 30+ cars I've had in 14 years this hasn't happened yet and I don't intend on starting now. the only 'mods' are those listed at the start. Chris
Admin Mk2Jo Posted September 17, 2010 Admin Report Posted September 17, 2010 Unfortunately for this particular website the Mk2 Fezza is not classed as oldksool, however, you are welcome to keep updating this post to show us your progress Good luck with the work
yalnif09 Posted September 17, 2010 Author Report Posted September 17, 2010 I just spotted this on the pics from the OSF meet at Wingspan. Anyone know what wheels they are? Look like the ones I had on my Mk2 escort. Cheers.
over_head_cam Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 I think they are Weller steels
SebringRS Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 Yeah, think there wellers Although not classed as 'Old Skool' i still think there really cool Saw a white one today as i was on the bus to school, was in the same condition as yours around abouts, looked cool, stock'ish height and all
GT_lenny Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 would it be oldskool if it had the mk1 front end conversion like the one in the classic ford fiesta frenzy???
yalnif09 Posted September 17, 2010 Author Report Posted September 17, 2010 OK so after seeing these weller steels and finding they are widely available as well as cheaper I'm thinking they are the way to go, thoughts? Chris
