Hi all, I am new to this forum, but have some depressing and upsetting news to give.

3 weeks ago, I had 3 Mk1's stolen, and this is on top of losing 1 in 2002, 1 in 2003 and 20 in 2006!

The recent stolen cars were stored in a dry barn, where they had been for a few years, and were waiting to be recommisioned for the road (very soon), as they were still solid cars.

Unfortunately 2 of the cars were Consul's.

The cars details are as follows:

1972 Ford Consul L K reg Sapphire Blue with dark blue (marquis) vinyl interior, 2.0 L pinto engine (originally V4) and manual gearbox.

The car had been restored with a respray, new wings and new wing and bonnet trim. The interior was immaculate, as was the only Consul I have seen with the marquis interior. No sunroof or vinyl roof.

1974 Ford Consul GT M reg Daytona Yellow with black cloth interior, 3.0L engine (low milage) and manual gearbox. No sunroof or vinyl roof, all the usual and correct exclusive GT parts, and the interior was immaculate.

1976 Ford Granada Ghia R reg Royal Blue with blue interior (very tidy), 3.0L engine and auto gearbox. Sunroof with black vinyl roof.

Both Consul's were my best condition cars that I have/had, and it is very worrying to think where they have gone, and I am very depressed about it all, and the cars I have lost over the years is very upsetting and been expensive, it makes you lose faith in society.

The previous theft's included another Consul L and another GT amongst other trim levels and bodies.

The theft's took place in North Oxfordshire, and if anyone knows who took them or where they are, I would certainly appreciate any information, and if they can be found and returned, there would be a reward for the person who can give me details. Please pm me in confidence if you can help, thank-you.relievedagain

yeah, although that little nugget was (accidentally?) hidden in the middle of the quoted original text, maybe Cortinabully ought to expand on that? It could have just been a not-so-funny throw away comment, or like stevepeanut said if he knows something, SPEAK UP!
