Trawling through the 'Bay' and seen a car i was interested in....messaged seller with a few questions before bidding..........

Q. So, have you got keys and log book? and what needs welding on the car?

A. Keys i have but old cars dont need a log book.............and i dont know what needs welding but it needs it doing......

Q. Im refering to the registration document V5C to say who owns the vehicle....

A. As ive stated old cars dont require a log book as i asked the DVLA and they said all you need is a reciept to say you bought the car mate........

I can only assume he has lost the V5 or the car isnt a one owner car as he states .......

However what aload of old tosh Grrrrrrrrrrr

WTF?? How old is old? Ten years? Vintage? Old to you? What a load of crap! Trouble is, some poor naive sod might believe him.

BTW the V5C tell you who the Registered Keeper is, not the owner, they are not always the same person.

It's a 1968......

There was obviously no point trying to explain to him any further....

People can be so frustrating and the whole situation apears dodgy!

Do a check with DVLA, it will show if it has been issued with a V5, if not then he should have the green log book.

What cars that have been off the road for ages do not necessarily need is a SORN declaration
