Reverse Lights

my mk1 fiesta hasnt got a reverse light fitted on the rear valance, the only light is the fog light. theres no hole or anything for it.

do i need to fit one for m.o.t? or is it not strictly required to fit one if it didnt come with one from factory?

didnt wanna cut another hole in the car it has enough as it is. when the weather brightens up and ive done the welding then ill upload pics of it

i once had a bloke in a petrol station say he was going to report me to the police for not having reverse lights on my recovery truck i took great pleasure in walking over to the mot garage next door where they told him they wasnt part of an mot he then sulked off like a 5 year old and got in his car and drove off it made my week
