4-Door Pete Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Can anyone tell me if a plastic type fuel cell is road legal? I have looked on the Directgov website for MoT regulations and they don't mention anything other than "The fuel System – Has no leaks and the fuel cap fastens and seals securely. The fuel cap will need to be opened so be sure the key is available". any information will be much appreciated before I waste a lot of money. Cheers
Posse Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I take you aren't going to be using the original take? I have never herd or any probs with after market tanks i.e. alloy ones and say JEZ racing ones that are mounted in the boot.
escortmatt Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 most citroens and peugeots have plastic tanks i think most modern cars have plastic tanks
mk3cokebottle Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 plastic tanks are 100% legal as long as secure and airtight
