down2earth Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 I was impressed many years back when on the rollers a Turbo xflow motor was being run up after its build up and produced in the region of 250bhp from memory ! was priviledged to watch it being set up by the tuner/engineer who built a plenum for the pressurised twin carbs I seem to remember and during the run up the exhaust manifold was glowing they are still in business today but not sure if this type of work is undertaken now, although the website lists a Ford Xflow turbo inlet manifold Ref the Retro Ford mag turbo xflow it might be of interest to know there is also a company on ebay that list Pinto and Xflow turbo conversions they mention a comparison with the RF article I think. I copied and pasted this which might take you to the companies ebay page via google stores.ebay.co.uk/Advanced-Auto-Performance-Parts/Ford-Escort-2-RS-Kent -Pinto-engines.html You need to then click on the Kent Pinto bit at the top
you'll get 10s on that Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Saw this at Crystal Palace last year...in a TVR
Wessie Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 IKE did the one above, again mixed reviews about him - but the engines seem good
