Admin Mk2Jo Posted March 16, 2011 Admin Report Posted March 16, 2011 Co-Op have just announced their black box technology for new young drivers ... basically, it is installed and monitors the driving both night and day and the better your driving, the less you pay for insurance. As the parent of a teenager who starts driving later this year I think it is excellent It charges you according to how you drive - looking at the pattern of behaviour over 90 days and it is monitored online and you can see how they have driven each day. Young drivers make up 1 in 8 drivers on the road and are 1 in 3 in accidents http://www.gadgetsandgizmos.org/co-op-y ... etric-box/
Trevmk3 Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 probably is a good idea and will more than likely make it onto alot of cars for every driver in a few years. could do with something that monitors how many idiots you have to drive near too aswell as i nearly got wiped out by a wagon last week at a mini-roundabout, my right of way and he didnt bother putting his foot near the brakes and luckily i stopped before i had a few tons of steel smashing the side of my head
