James HPE Motorsport Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Unfortunately its not as easy as just shortening them on an English axle (dont know about atlas). Depends by how much you are talking. Pricey option is to use quaife or similar. They come with a long length of spline so you have quite alot you can chop off to suit your needs. If you want to shorten your axle by around an 2 inches total, then Anglia van are the puppies.(good luck finding them) Some Mk1 Cortina shafts are shorter aswell but be sure to check the length before buying. down2earth Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 I can think of several companies that will carry out the work to shorten your axle/shafts in the south if you don't go down the anglia axle route that is. All will depend on your budget as to what you have in mind for the car's set up etc but for an example of the work involved on the Axle/shafts have a look at http://www.robinson-race-cars.co.uk Click 'Axles' then scroll down and click 'Axles - classic ford'
