worton75 Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Hi guys and girls, thought i should introduce myself, after 3 years of owning a 1969 VW bay window campervan (which i will hopefully be selling around august time - we have a holiday booked in the camper and cant really sell it before this ) i have decided its time for a new challenge. Before this (and whilst owning) i have owned 6 classic minis but being 6ft and 14stone ( ) and with 2 small kids a mini is just to small. Always had a fancy for either a MK2 escort or a MK3 capri and on the sale of the van this is what i'm looking at (a few bills to pay off first) although looking at the prices of MK2 its more likely to be a capri, Anyway i should have a budget of about £2.5k to play with, this is just to purchase the car, play money is found when and if. What can i expect for this sort of budget? Ideally i would like the car to be a daily driver but can you get everyday insurance or does it have to be on classic? Any other sites i should be checking out (apart from this one of course )
lotusless Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 welcome to the site glad to hear your leaving the "dark side" for some osf action for your budget you should be able to find a really nice car, as for insurance you can get daily driver cover but it will cost you more + it depends on your age/driving record/ ect but good luck with your search.
