Patrick MkIV Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 I had a really good day up at Silverstone for Ford Fair. Did a couple of 0-60 runs in the Cortina and would have liked to take it on the track, but didn't know I needed both parts of my driving licence... Photobucket album here: http://s699.photobucket.com/albums/vv35 ... ir%202011/ Far too much modern stuff there, as expected, but I think that just makes the classic stuff look even better in comparison My best 0-60 time was 7.12s, on the first go, and that was with a bit too much wheelspin off the line. Second go, I took it a bit easier, thinking I'd do better with a bit of a smoother take off, but ended up with a slower time... Some really nice cars there, weather was good (just a little shower at lunchtime that dried up quick), and some very 'easy on the eye' promo girls (wanted to get more pics of them, but wasted too much time looking at and talking cars...) Just a bit disappointed with the poor turnout of Mk3-5 Cortinas and Mk1 and 2 Granadas. Plenty of Capris and Escorts, though
