whooligan Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I know Australia is at the other end of the earth, but we have some wicked old Fords down here. Our local RSOC is about to stage its annual concours which has grown from a handful of cars, when I first started attending it 10 years ago, to well over 200 Escorts, Capris, Anglias, Cortinas and variety of other small Fords. This year is set to be even bigger and now the event is probably the biggest small Ford display in the Southern Hemisphere. Check out the Victorian Ford Rallye Sport Owners Club website for more info. Hope to see some pics in RetroFord soon.
marky4 Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 i'd love to see some aussi 4 door mk2 rs2000's
whooligan Posted January 28, 2007 Author Report Posted January 28, 2007 Gives us some links please I've only just joined this forum so I can't post links yet. You can get to the rsocvic web site by adding a dot com. There were quite a few 4 door RS2000s sold. I even own one. They weren't as popular as the coupes, but there are very practical as a daily driver. We even got automatic RS2000s, but compared to the euro spec RS2000, they were a little watered down. ie. No tramp rods, 94bhp engine and standard Cortina gearbox and exhaust manifold. About 2400 were sold, and most of them have survived because they still have a huge following today.
