Just had a call from the MOT tester that my car has passed its MOT. I was actually hoping it would fail so I didn't have to go to my Sisters for Xmas Gotta look for other genuine excuses now

Did the Grafters pages seem poor to only me this issue (Dec 2007)? I mean a wrecked and rusty 1.6 Capri with 2 days spent on it?????? And quotes of having this Zakspeed bit and that Zakspeed bit but no pics of them. Seemed a complete waste of pages which could have been filled much better. The feature might have stood up a year down the line with some progress but tbh i've seen better motors in scrapyards Am I missing something?!? Was it featured because it was a girly owner or did you simply have nothing more worthwhile to feature???

I'm trying to locate my best mate from school who was also my best man when I got married. I know his full name, including his middle name, I know his wifes name (not sure though if he's still married) and I know the village/town he lives in, or at least I know he lived in it 2 years ago So I have some info So wheres the best place to search? I've sauntered around a few sites but most of them want money, of which I have little, or want me to sign up i.e. friends reunited/Retards Club etc which I am not interested in doing for reasons best left unspoken Anyone got any good ideas I dont want to put any of his personal info on display publicly but if anyone has a searchable database at their disposal I don't mind firing some info over on a PM, maybe one of our friendly officers could bend a rule or two Cheers if anyone can help, it'd mean a lot to find this fella again as I haven't seen him or spoke to him in over a decade now

I know that and do sympathise up to a point, even though I don't agree with it. I went through it years ago when I worked for British Rail and went through privatisation, etc. Unfortunately I think a work to rule would have garnered more public support. The biggest problem with striking these days is you have a unlistening, uncaring mangement on one side who believe they wield the ultimate power and on the other side a union run by militant, living in the past, unreasonable men who also believe they weild the ultimate power. Its a no win situation. You wont win, end of! You're just prolonging the inevitable but good luck, theres absolutely nothing wrong with standing up for something you believe in.
