lotusless Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 is that a mk1 ford colour? i'm not sure.
fieldy1972 Posted September 22, 2011 Author Report Posted September 22, 2011 the fella said is was Mineral Blue. apparently only 150 were made . its been in a garage for 16 years. needs a resto . i had a quick look round the old girl. bodywork wasnt that bad. my mk2 was worse when i brooght that. .
Savvi Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Apparently it's an original Rs2000 and vin plate states the blue and as said rare colour. Someone i know has put an offer in on it, if accepted he's going to have it restored.
fieldy1972 Posted September 22, 2011 Author Report Posted September 22, 2011 hope your mate gets it. it literally down the road from me. 2 minute walk. made me want to sell my mk2 and buy a mk1 escort.
grifterkid Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 That is a lovely colour, very similar to Marine Blue... I can only imagine that will not be staying that colour though one can only hope...
mk2 mike Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 I'm generally not a fan of blue cars but i really like the look of that.
In The Pit Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 That is a lovely colour, very similar to Marine Blue... I can only imagine that will not be staying that colour though one can only hope... I think it is Marine Blue its the right age for it. I had a 1984 Capri Laser in Mineral Blue and it was a lighter blue (metallic) than that. I hope the person keeps it that colour as it looks nice, it would be stupid to replace an unusual original colour with a common one.
