SebringRS Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 Knew of this one for a while, been sat outside one of our friends houses, the story goes its one of his sons friends cars, his son put the car there while he was changing workshop with the plan to restore it there (that was 5 years ago ) His dad was getting a little annoyed with it being there, and with a list aslong as you like of people that had sent letters and knocked on his door wanting to buy it, he was so close to selling it, and keeping what he got for it as rent for the space on his drive His son said back to him "you cant do that, the guy that owns it is huge" to which he replied, i dont give a rats ass how big he is, its my drive But giving his son the benefit of the doubt, he said you've got a month to get it gone, or im ringing up everyone on the list and the highest bidder gets it (us being near the bottom of that list ) But yeah, clearly that was the wake up call, as after 6 years, its moved and is now being restored in his unit just down from my work, so i shall keep taking pictures as i see it Considering its been sat out in every element, for 6 years, i dont think its done too bad Was covered in slime and moss when it was on the drive Guessing that kept the rot away, looks to be just under where the spoiler was thats started to go Heres the pics The guy thats restoring it used to own a mk2 RS in black, but that was about 2 years ago
lotusless Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 why do people leave these cars outside to rot for years ?
