Brylt Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Thought i'd say hi, i'm Bryan from Leeds, ford trained panel beater by trade, as an apprentice i did more waranty sierra door skins than i care to remember. I don,t have a ford at the moment but i am looking at getting a mk2 RS2000 or something the like, Harrier, Sport ect to rebuild as when i started driving in the mid 90's i cut my teeth on mk2 escorts, with my first being a 1.3 white 2 door with t@t for the grand sum of £80 and my second 2 door 1.1 being £20 with 3 months tax, o the good days. Over the the last 17 years i've had plenty of fords, escorts, a mk5 cortina, granadas, sierras, and about 50 transits from mk2 to 5 a couple of P100's, and a mk2 mustang. The current stable is a 91 2.3E Audi Coupe and a 61 Buick Special which is being built for a bit of strip action, and a 98 fiesta as the daily. I think thats about it in brief. Regards Bryan
Daz271 Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Hi Bryan, welcome - good to see another Leeds member Good luck with your search for an old ford, does it have to be a mk2? I only ask as I'm selling one of my mk1's if that would be of any interest to you? Is the panel beating just a daytime job for you at a dealership or something or do you do any resto work youself? Just wondered as I'm looking for someone local to do the the bodywork on my other mk1. Doors re-skinning, sills, back arches etc, paintwork, could maybe even do some sort of deal? Resto work as payment for the mk1 I'm selling if you'd be interested??... Just a thought Cheers Daz.
Brylt Posted February 5, 2012 Author Report Posted February 5, 2012 Thanks for the welcome guys, Daz, you have a pm regarding bodywork mate. Regards Bryan
